On April 1, 2026, Drift Protocol, the Solana perpetual futures exchange built by Drift Labs, lost roughly $295 million in user deposits after attackers took control of its Security Council multisig. Drift has since issued DFX recovery tokens and rebranded as Velocity DEX.
